Free vs paid ReplyRabbit builds
ReplyRabbit ships as two separate module builds, not one build with a licence unlock switch. A free account downloads a free build with core drafting features. A Pro or Team licence downloads a full build that includes everything for that plan. Paid-only features are not present in the free download at all: they are not hidden behind a locked menu, the underlying files simply are not there.
What the free build includes
The free build covers the core reviewed-draft workflow:
- One mailbox, OpenAI only, 10 AI drafts per month.
- Draft replies you review and edit before sending, plus rewrite assistance to reword a draft in one click.
- Smart reply routing, so drafts go to whoever wrote last and keep the right people on the thread.
- Spam and noise filtering, so drafts are not generated for newsletters, receipts, or no-reply mail.
- Settings and the whole admin experience in 17 languages.
For the full setup walkthrough, see How to set up ReplyRabbit.
What only exists in the paid build
Activating a Pro or Team licence key downloads a build that adds:
- Unlimited mailboxes and drafts, and all AI providers, including local models with Ollama and LM Studio.
- Knowledge base, docs, and product search grounding for drafts.
- Learning from your edits, so drafts sound more like you over time.
- Next Actions checklists and manual issue tracker creation (Linear, GitHub Issues, or Jira).
- Team plan only: reading image and PDF attachments, customer segment rules, automatic issue tracker creation on new emails, confidence scoring, an audit log, and team analytics.
Absent, not just locked
Upgrading from free to paid
Buying a Pro or Team plan does not change an already-installed free build by itself. Upgrade in two steps:
Activate your licence key
Open the mailbox's ReplyRabbit settings and enter your licence key on the ReplyRabbit license page. This confirms the key and the plan it unlocks.Install the full build over the free one
Download the full build for your licence from your account dashboard, unzip it, and replace the existingModules/ReplyRabbitfolder with it. The module name does not change, so your mailbox settings, provider keys, company context, and existing data survive the swap.Clear the cache
From your FreeScout root, run:terminalphp artisan freescout:clear-cache

Where downloads come from
Downloads are per licence, from your account dashboard at app.replyrabbit.app/dashboard. A free account signs up and downloads the free build from there. A Pro or Team purchase adds a licence to the same dashboard, and the download link on that licence serves the full build. There is no single universal ZIP that works for every plan.
